Testimonials
We bought an English Setter puppy that was four months old approximately one year ago. Unbeknownst to us, he came with issues. These became apparent within the first month or so of having him.
We decided to try and address these problems through regular obedience school. Not only was obedience school not working to address the issues, we realized obedience training was an issue!
I met Beth after going to a class she gave at Babies R’ Us. I was rather impressed by her ability to give very practical tips for how to deal with issues we would be facing with a new born and a puppy. After the class, I had asked her about other issues we were having at home and she let me know that she did in-home consults as well.
I went home and told my husband about how I was impressed with her rather practical approach to the problems we were having. We set up an appointment!
She came out to the house, and first she listened to us. This was wonderful because it felt like the obedience trainers would hear the first few words of our concerns and offer a ‘quick fix’. From there we developed a plan to address the issues we were having.
Not only did she give us ways to deal with the problems—fear of strangers, lunging at cars, counter surfing, eating out of the cat box, constantly chasing the cat, stealing clothes to chew up, pulling on the leash when walking, etc—she also borrowed us books, offered phone advice inbetween sessions, gave us different treats/products samples to try with him. She did not make us feel incapable of handling or dealing with our dog’s issues. Often times the obedience trainers made us feel like it must be that we were not doing something right and not offer other suggestions. She offered support and encouragement when we were feeling particularly challenged. We were able to fix the mentioned issues within a couple of months.
My husband and I have been more than pleased with Beth in regards to her practical approach to our pet problems, level of professionalism, wealth of knowledge, rather down to earth personality, availability to us through phone and email contact, and willingness to resource other professionals if she needs to do so.
I would highly recommend Beth for dog behavioral services to anyone. We have recommended her to friends and coworkers and will continue to do so in the future.
Sincerely, Jaime and Jason Wescher Owner of Rudy, the English Setter

My name is Ryan Golinvaux and I am the proud owner of two boxers named Kinnick and Wrigley. We initially met Beth when we took Kinnick to a group puppy class. She was very knowledgeable and knew how to handle all different types and behaviors of dogs.
During the training Beth showed to have a great knowledge of not only obedience training but also pet nutrition, dog accessories, and was very knowledgeable of many different breeds and their tendencies. She was very good about being up front with us. If she thought we should feed our dog a different type of food she would let us know why and would give several recommendations. Beth was also very good about explaining that most of the time when dogs are not benefiting from their training it has to do with the owner's commitment not the dogs' capacity to learn. It was nice to hear someone tell us what to expect and what we need to put into it. Otherwise we could not have been very effective in the training of our dogs.
After completion of the puppy class, my wife and I discussed one on one training with Kinnick. We talked to Beth, and she was very prompt in letting us know her pricing and availability. However, we did not follow through with starting the one on one training until just recently. We contracted Beth after we had gotten our second boxer, Wrigley, and told her that we wanted to do some initial training with him and some advanced training with Kinnick. She said that it would be no problem. She came out to our house and met with both us and our dogs. She sat down with us and listened to our expectations and where we would like to be. Then she mapped out for us what it would entail for that to happen.
During out one on one training she has not only helped us reinforce the things we already knew but has also been able to personalize it to our dogs and our home. I would definitely recommend Bet to anyone that has dogs and is willing to be a part of their training. She is very knowledgeable and is a steal for the price.
Sincerely,
Ryan and Jassica Golinvaux Owner of two boxer boys, Kinnick and Wrigley

It is with extreme pleasure that I write this letter of reference for Ms. Beth Madunic. I have known Beth in a variety of capacities for many years. She has been my co-worker, dog trainer and the person I turn to for advice on my dog.
Beth is a compassionate, knowledgeable and patient trainer. She has an excellent rapport with dogs of all ages and sizes. Beth is also a model pet caregiver. She has always gone above and beyond to care for her pets as well as those that she fosters or trains. I wish all trainers and pet owners were as conscientious as she is in the care of their animals.
In summary, I highly recommend Beth as a dog trainer or for any endeavor that she may seek to pursue. She is a valuable asset for any pet owner.
Sincerely, Naomi Hink Owner of Bear, Pomeranian Mix

Dear Beth,
It is hard to believe that we've had Riley almost 1 year. We would like to extend a very belated thank you for everything you've done to help ensure that Riley would fit into our home. First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to come out to the humane society, to give us your opinion of Riley. We are certain Riley had "picked us out" at the humane society, but really appreciated your second opinion with a temperament test.
Throughout the dog training classes, it became apparent that dog training is really about the relationship between the owners and the dog. More importantly, the training is really about being able to get a specific response from the dog, no matter the circumstance.
You were very specific to always ask "what's working well" and "what's not working well" at the beginning of every lesson. Some of our issues probably aren't covered in most dog training classes, such as what is the safest and easiest way to have a dog exit a car. And, we are glad you were able to actually work with us and Riley in a dog park, and clue us in on proper dog park etiquette.
Also, thank you for letting us train with Riley as a family. It was really important for us to have our daughter in the training too.
As we adopted Riley, your knowledge of nutrition, nail clipping, grooming and dog behavior in general was greatly appreciated.
Lastly, thank you for all the encouragement for adopting an older dog. He was much older than we were looking for, luckily he picked us out. Since he has been in our home, we've never looked back on the decision to adopt an eight-year old dog. Our main concern was that he would not bond with us, which you just seemed to know that he would be fine.
We really enjoyed the opportunity to work with you!
Warm regards, Cheryl Hoefert Owner of Riley, Lab mix
