Training Methods
My Training Methods/Philosophies

After years of dealing with animals and working with world renowned trainers, I have found what works best for my dogs and my clients' dogs: Positive Motivation.
My methods for group classes, privates and behavior modification program are very simple, if you treat the dog with respect and give them something to work for you can alleviate most any problem.
I strongly believe in the use of food while training our dogs, while some look at it as a bribe, I look at it as a paycheck. Think about human nature, normally the first thought we have is "what am I going to get for doing that?" Well, your dog thinks the same way. He will work for food but won't be dependent on it for the rest of his life, especially if used correctly.
In my behavior modification programs I use classical counter conditioning, basically very fancy words to say that I change the dogs outlook on a certain aspect of his life, all while using positive methods.
Simply stated, I don't use force. If you are looking for a trainer that dominates your dog or uses a pack, its not me.
I should actually say that I am not a "dog trainer" because I am more of a "people" trainer. It is valuable and important for me to be able to get results out of your dog, but it is more important that YOU get the same results. So my main job is to coach you so that you can be effective in the training of your dog, even when I am not there.
